Ive been looking at a few youtubes and what not for dumbbell deadlifts. There seems to be a few different variations that people call dumbbell deadlifts. Anyone know what the differences are between them? Can anyoe post one they think is correct?

Why are you doing dumbbell deadlifts? Unless you are very weak or have some sort of back injury you are most likely too strong for them to be of any use. Saying that a DB deadlift should be just like any other deadlift in regards to back and leg/hip use.

No barbell atm only dumb-bells. Theres a barbell in a smith machine? Figured it would be better to use free weights. Before anyone says anything I can't remove the barbell from the smith machine its locked in place.

Why not try heavy DB rows and then like hypers holding weight plates.

DB deadlift wont be good becuase you wont be able to lift heavy enough with them.
