Cycling is a great way to get outdoors explore the area, meet new people , socialize with old friends ,kill some and is also great for fitness and a fun way to burn calories. If you’re new to the world of cycling, you may be some what confused by all the type of bikes on the market. For your workout there is three main types of bikes that you may want to consider

Road Bicycle - otherwise known as “racing bikes” the type of bike you see on the Tour de france. These bikes are lightweight and quite aerodynamic. They are build for speed are designed to be ridden on paved areas like bike path and roads

Mountain Bike - Are built strong and tough and are made for riding on dirt trails and rough and rugged terrain. They have chunky knobby tyres for grip and come with front suspension the more advanced models also coming equipped with rear suspension. While the name does say Mountain bike, you can still ride them around the neighborhood however they aren't as fast as a road bike.

Hybrid Bicycle - The hybrid bike a combination of both a road bike and also a mountain bike , bringing the best of both worlds to one bike, the road bikes speed and the mountain bikes built for rough rugged terrain.

The best part about cycling is that you're staying fit and burning calories, cycling is a great cardiovascular workout and less impact meaning they are easier on the joints
