Digital scales (for food)

Just wanting to bump this thread to see if there are any new recommendations for good and reasonably priced scales.

I have been using ebay scales I bought a couple years back (only been seriously using them recently) and this thing EATS 2032 batteries. Like the batteries don't last a week in this thing.

For this reason I'm leaning more towards a model that uses AAA batteries.

Am I wrong for doing this? Is it just because my scales suck that that batteries don't last, or are 2032 batteries crap?

Wouldn't it be good if your scales could talk to an Iphone APP. Put the ffod on the scale selct what is in in the app and the weight and Macros are saved for that meal, next ingredient and you could track everything.

It does all your totals for meals and daily stats, it remembers quantities (weights) of ingredients to reach certain macros for easier meal prep etc.

It would revolutionise calorie counting.

$15 Woolies ones, never changed batteries in about 18 months, never missed a beat and seem to weigh spot on.

Kitchenwaredirect has some good digital food scales available. They're worth $50+.
