A Melbourne body builder has received a two-year suspended sentence for importing steroids.
Brenton Dowell, 25, of Reservoir ordered more than 3,000 grams of anabolic steroids from China over a three-month period in 2010.
He pleaded guilty to importing an illegal substance through the post.
The Victorian County Court was told Dowell was bullied as a child for being overweight and later became obsessed with body building.
He was ordered to pay a fine of $10,000 and released on a two-year good behaviour bond.
