Hi all, I have read that low fat chocolate milk is just as good as having a protein (powder) shake after a workout. If this is the case, why spend $$$ on protein powders.
I don't reckon it would be better, but I have heard somewhere that its ok, and its also good for hydration or something. I would just use a choc flavoured protein powder instead, to be safe. There would be shit load of sugar in a choc milk, I think sugar is ok after workout but not ridiculous amounts, will be interesting to see what the guys have to say on this one.

Protein powder is cheap per gram of protein. But there is more to growth than just protein.
Also that study was comparing a overpriced sugar and protein(and what ever other magical fairy dust they put in) workout drink with milk. It's basically shows just get some protein and calories in and you will be fine. No need for the fancy shit.
