Triceps

Can you get it from compound movements?

Of course
To be honest, if you're lifting for muscular growth I don't see how you can not get a pump no matter what exercise you're doing.
A pump is just that, your muscle is pumped up and physically bigger for a time after a workout.

I've felt fatigue and lactic acid...but can't say I've felt like I'm cumming or had a "pump"

The cumming part is Arnold just being Arnold but the pump is real
Using arms as an example, my biceps are over 1cm larger pumped up after a workout, same when doing quads, lats, triceps etc. this will last for up to an hour afterwards.

Muscular pumping to the point where the fluids going in to the muscle faster than they can leave has no value to stimulating growth, using a lightish weight and doing lots of reps will get you this, can't be done with multi joint exercises.

I have to respectfully disagree Silverback, quads, lats etc. certainly are
pumped after working them with squats and rowing movements

I know dark, but I'm talking about the high degree of pump.

Degrees of pump are unavoidable in exercise, but some blokes pump to the max thinking there is value, other than it feeling great, there is none.

Yeah which is why I mentioned doing a gazillion reps with feather weights earlier in the thread, this is not the sort of pump we're talking about

Yeah I just want to clarify this is about exercises where you get a pump easily. I figure this exercise will be best for muscular growth.
No mindlessly doing reps to get the blood flowing

I prefer Weighted dips, pulley pushdowns and overhead lateral triceps extension.

So you have never had a "pump" while training?

A tightnes/fullness in the muscle you were training?

P.S just quoted any random one of your posts.

Besides it feeling good, I find it a good indicator that the intended muscle has been well targeted

I was just about to say this - at least you know that you are hitting the muscle correctly if you have a pump in said muscle - I can do 1 set x 6 of tricep pressdowns and have a pump.

I dont always feel it (the pump) especially in the larger muscles, so i find "fatigue" being my best indicator.
Especially when I'm doing those multi joint bastards.

I do remember some *special* workouts that left my uppers arms pumped and oh my, my forearms burning like a bitch, i thought they where going to explode.
fuck that was good.

Trap pump is pretty good. Probably my favourite
Deltoid pump is the worst. Feels like my shoulders are going to fall off

Sorry but this just sounds like a bunch of 15 yo kids hanging around the gym.

As I said, I've felt fatigue and I've felt lactic build up, but I seriously have no idea what you blokes are talking about and why I'd what to try and get it.
