    6ft Barbell

    Just joined a new gym, it has a few olympic 7ft 20kg bars, but it has a lot of 6ft ones as well, they have noticeably shorter collars, I was just wondering what they weigh? Is it 15kg? I can't tell. Thanks guys.

    Are squat Shoes REALLY raw?

    I was thinking about it the other day, and in a RAW lifting comp, are you allowed to use lifting shoes? If they do help balance you out better and people can lift more with them, isn't it giving you an unfair advantage? I'm not looking to start a fight, more of a discussion Cheers, Morgan.

    Your Favourite?

    What is your favourite exercise and why? Mine would have to be weighted chin ups / weighted dips, I find them to be one of the toughest exercises in my workout and I am always fighting for another rep each visit, they're the most satisfying for me. What about the rest of you lot? Cheers

    I've made the decision to quit smoking at the end of the month, I can't be serious about gym/diet and still pump 25 smokes into my system a day. My question, should I expect an improvement in my lifts afterwards? ie - improved lung capacity = more oxygen = more strength etc?
