Hey guys,
I'm trying to get my pull ups happening as an overall back developer but I am at a sticking point. I use the assisted machine on 50 pounds and I can't physically get past the same reps every week. First set I'll do 8, second set I'll do 6 or 7 and the last set I barely make it to 5...
How many pull ups, (not chin ups) can you do in a row?

2. Just bodyweight, chin to bar till failure.
Just want to know the genuine maximums of the little and big guys.
I just did 15 and could not get 16 to chin, now time to get it...

Hi there,
I've read a few positive comments from guys about push / pull / leg (3 day) splits. I am just wondering if it'd advantageous for females?

Personally saw some awesome deadlifts on the Sunday, plenty of 300kg+ lifts.

So I done squats on Wednesday today is Thursday, DOMS is kicking in the hammys big time esp coz I squat sumo. I also DL sumo as well which is on back day on saturday and not sure if i will reviver by then. I try to space squats and d/ls as far apart as Much as i can but if punish legs it...
I've read many times about the benefits of 20 rep squat sets, and I've started adding a set of 20 reppers at around 60% of my 1RM at the end of my squat session. Needless to say they are fucking hard and get a bit messy. Oh well, no pain no gain.

Every now and then I have a random desire to do a pull up but have nowhere to do the at home. There's a couple of different style of door frame pull up bars on eBay - does anyone have any experience/advice about them?
I do both of these. I do shoulder width parallel grip pullups...I've tried wider grip palms away grip but basically I'm too weak/shit at it, so I stick with what I can do. I can do 10-11 reps and haven't tried adding weight yet.

I have a doorway pull-up bar but it apparently can only hold up to 80kg, i weigh 75ish and i want to start adding weights to the pull ups for resistance but i don't wanna break the thing.
