S THIRTY LESSONS
1. I see so many people who lift weights that worry they will lose a half inch from their arm girth if they take a week or two off training, when if they are truthful with themselves, they would actually get bigger.
2. If you?re a true hard gainer, one of the best ways to...
Mixture of non walked out squats and tested lifters mixed in with non tested but it shows how dominant Big Ray is.When you think about it,its mindblowing how a drug free lifter is the best.
I busted my back on my deadlift session last week, its not bad, but I wont be deadlifting for 2-3 weeks.
I won't be squatting for a week or so either.
Back injuries shouldn't be, but generally are, apart of powerlifting. What you do next, with your body and mind, will determine your return...

Toying of the idea of trying knee wraps?
Got knee wraps, but didn't actually put any real thought into what wraps to buy?
Here is a little article I wrote on the different types of wraps that are available and what wrap I think suits what style best.
I've been doing it for 6 months... I can pump out:
Squat: 100kg 5 x 5
Bench press: 100kg 5 x 5
Barbell row: 75kg 5 x 5
Overhead press: 50kg 5 x 5
Deadlift: 90kg 5 x 5
My stats are:
- 195 cm tall
- 140 kg
- 29% body fat
I have found that deadlift and barbell row are the hardest because my back...
Back in the start of may i suffered a grade 1 quad strain in my left quad while refereeing soccer of all things. I was cleared to run and squat again at the end of may.
My problem is tho after 2 sets of squats, the muscle contractions have become so unbearable i have to stop squatting.
Selling my Buddy Capps Texas Squat bar, been injured for the last 6 months with a lower back issue and am thinking that squatting heavy is probably not gonna happen for a long time so no use for it anymore.
Please excuse the pictures, they were taken with my potato camera on my phone. Bar is in...
Got the GPC newsletter. First few lines read:
So, from that, I get that Andy Hargreaves is, "subsequent to that", either a druggy, an anti druggy, a government employee covering his butt, a NSW source, an anti drug abuse and distribution advocate or non of the above.
I also notice that GPC...
We've all seen some crazy weights been lifted by some very strong Olympic weightlifters; I'm referring to squatting here.
You see a middleweight (75kg) weightlifter back squatting something like 290kg the way he just squatted 150 or 200kg.
Great so where is this post heading?
The point here...
Need some advice on getting back into training. What do you guys do for motivation? I Struggle to train more then 3 times a week. i usually fit in about 1-2 days of workouts
which is basically squatting 1-3 rep max's then doing some strength work with Clubs / sledge hammer etc. I...
Yes the title is controversial, especially to the hardcore bodybuilder reading here. But this is not the powerlifting or Olympic weightlifting section of the forum, so surely, the people's interest lies first and foremost with muscle hypertrophy above all else correct?
So think about it for...
Ray Williams in training. Current IPF (drug tested, proper depth, walked out. You know, real squatting!!) world record holder with a clean 438kg squat. The video below is posted as 1000lb so 452.5kg in real weight.
The video attachment icon only lets me post the page. Sorry.
I seriously intend to be doing this as long as I'm alive. To me, lifting is a part of Healthy lifestyle, both physically and psychologically. Unless my joints give out I'll be Squatting, Deadlifting, Pressing, Chinning and Dipping. I may not do things like Barbell Rows as I feel they irritate...
So I blew out the sole of my current squating shoes and I'm looking at getting a proper pair, their is quite a range these days.
