Hopefully this is allowed. I'm keen for people like Max Brenner etc for giving me some hints and tips.

I'm going to log for a few weeks what I eat here and post up my weight weekly.

I am following a IF approach because I just feel better and have more energy from it. I'm trying to gain weight, so my approach is going to be pretty heavy at the start.

I know that LG is usually a -20%/10% on off days and a +10-30% on training days, I'm aiming to gain around 2kg a month so I've amped up the calories a bit so I am +15/+30. Current goals are to get strong on my bench so fat gain I can deal with.

Current plan of attack:

Supps I am considering purchasing: (fish oil and d3)
Now Foods, Ultra Omega-3, 500 EPA/250 DHA, 180 Softgels - iHerb.com
Healthy Origins, Vitamin D3, 5,000 IU, 360 Softgels - iHerb.com

As much as I'm a fan of IF and Leangains, I feel micormanagement of having 2 different calorie intakes can be a pain for adherence. I personally don't do that

If you don't feel like it is a pain in the ass to do then go with it. Overall it looks good.

I'd simply make it a more consistent daily intake so you don't have to worry about the daily changes especially seeing you are in a calorie surplus for the entire time. If it was a deficit well then maybe but certainly not for a surplus. Doesn't make any sense in that situation IMO.

Thanks for your input :) duly noted. I think I will take that advice on board until I am doing a surplus/deficit thing.

Current stats are 180cm 73-74kg

I'm interested to follow your progress with this.

Also trying to gain and finding it very slooow going (very lean to start).
Still playing around with my own diet trying to find what works best for me.

will be great to see what your experience throws up over time!

Good luck! :)

At you're weight, I'd personally knock it back a few cals. +15% for the whole week or so would be my goal. Which if you wanted to cal cycle would be something like +20% and 0 on rest days depending on how often you work out.

BTW that's pretty much what I gain on 3200/2600 from 77kg.

OK so I have a 2 week break from Uni and now I can start to plan.

Current weight is 73kg with an empty stomach and just went to toilet lol.

OK, so Im willing to put on a bit of fat. I'm aiming for a 2 kilo gain a month until the end of november which is around 8 months, so I should be hopefully 89-90kg by then. I know, probably a bit of fat. Then for December go on the traditional LG method and cut for the month until I am happy with how I look in the mirror and for the ausbb competition.

Currently aiming for 3266 calories daily or so. I'm just going to make this easy on myself and try and eat the same foods most days for lunch and post workout, and dinner will be different as well with some ice cream at the end of the day with different snacks to keep myself sane.
My goal for the year is the 100/140/180 so I currently do not care about how I look. I just want to get strong. Having a crappy shoulder is keeping me back so it's hard working around this.

Also, I'm aiming for my min. protein and fat requirements, not worrying about the carbs. It's just too much to get everything perfect for me.

Let's do this! Will post up a daily plan besides my dinner and see how it looks.

Diet not including dinner. just meal 1, 2, 3 and snack.
