Front Squats, which grip?

I can't do the crossover grip at all
feel like the bar is wobbly
sometimes with clean grip if I go heavy I strain my biceps though
so I rarely max

Since I originally posted this I have tried both clean grip and cross over but have found the cross over grip to be better for me, however, you have to keep your elbows high and make sure you setup properly to start with, also it helps wearing a T-shirt when sweaty as the bar can slip around as someone else suggested doing.

cross over grip for me. I tried to persist with front rack position for ages but it was totally limiting my FS ability. (tight lats/subscap)

My main issue was actually getting it behind the anterior delt. Once I got that sorted it was all good.

And now I know that if I do miss with cross grip, I can just catch it in elbows anyway. (if I don't want to fully drop it)
