Hey guys, Im a bit of a noob on this site.

My PT at gym is suggesting not drinking my shakes with milk, what do you guys think?

Also, I usually have 2 eggs in the morning on toast. I have em scrambled cuz im allergic to uncooked eggs for some reason. But my trainer advised not too have too much egg white, just stick to the yolk.

Whats your opinion?

Cheers

Dale

Your trainer...............get a new one

Your protein powder should be of the quality where it tastes to your liking with just water

You can add milk if your looking for extra calories

For scrambled eggs, try 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg.
For shakes, unless you are bulking and need the calories, use water rather than milk.

unless you aiming to lose weight and using the shake as "meal replacement", id put milk with it, it tastes ALOT better.

Having your shakes in milk slows the digestion, and therefore protein absorption.
I tend to have my PWO shake in water, but a night shake with milk.
Having said that... they taste much better in milk, lol.

Gday Dale from Another Dale!

Milks great if your looking to get a lot of calories in and your bulking. Milk also slows down the absorption rate of the protein. Usually when i'm cutting i'll have Protein with water, but when bulking i'll have it with milk!

You're trainers a f*cking flog for telling you to avoid egg whites, egg whites are brilliant, as are the yolks. No need to waste any part of the egg, its all good for you :)

I actually have mine 50/50. Good consistency, fills me up well and you get some mega froth from the water.

Hey guys thanks for your replies!

Well like Huggy B said, I am really looking to bulk up. I am not big and im not small, I want to put on the mass before cutting down.

With the eggs, I think he said to have one whole egg with the white, and then 3 extra yolks.

So do you guys recommend drinking the shake with milk before a workout? and drink it with water after a workout and any other time of the day? He said that the milk just gets stored as fat in your system.

I must agree, With milk it tastes like a chocolate thick shake... with water it taste like crap haha.

For me, ingesting a high quality protien and powder mixability in a shaker are in order of importance 1 and 2 - taste for me is very low in importance.

Mix it in water, man up and chug it down. You are drinking it to feed your muscles, not have a tasty "milkshake" like drink.

JMO.....

It doesnt taste that bad, So im fine with drinking it with water.

Plus I still eat my egg whites, I was just seeking other opinions ;)

I drink mine with milk for the added calories but like said above sometimes mix it with water for faster absorbtion.

As for eggs, smash em into ya, there all good

Only ever had shakes with milk. Water i think would be pretty gross lol, but, its not like i need to save 'calories'. I'll always drink them with milk, tastes real good that way.

Also if your worried about 'fat content' from the egg whites, just another 100ms, walk up another flight of stairs, sure that will do it.

2 scoops chocolate wpi
500ml milk
3 scoops low fat vanilla ice cream

Blend

whipped cream on top
chocolate dusting over the top

I usually drink mine with Milk in the mornings, post workout & later is always with water.

lol @ your PT! - Full eggs FTW!

haha yeh i thought it was kind of strange when he was mentioning it. I always have the whole egg, he was just saying that there is just as much grams of fat as their is protein in egg's.
