Protein In you Breakfast.

Members,

I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere. But I need
your expertise.

I have read a few books about building muscle / cutting fat
etc... (Not as much as you but a few). Anyway all of them
seem to suggest that 25g of protein in your breakfast will
make the muscle gain and fat loss accelerate.

Here are my questions:

1. Anyone on this forum seen dramatic alterations in your
muscle gain/fat loss by doing this?

2. Has it been any different to not taking a significant amount
of protein?

Thanks
Devante.

I'm splitting up my protein broscience style between meals every few hours instead of just worrying about daily total, im afraid of dat dere catabolism

Bro science or not, I recon 25-30 grams of protein won't do any harm, I have protein at every meal anyway, breakfast for me is just a protein shake usually, unless I am not working I will have toast, baked beans, some bacon and a coupe of eggs, still protein.

What would you have for breakfast that's not protein anyway???? I can't think of anything I would have for breakfast that does not give me at least 25 grams of protein.

Having oats.

I was going to add 25g of protein to my oats or a shake
to kick-start the day.

I don't have protein shakes due to the my a$$ hole being
tired of Farting!!!

Gidday Mick,

Nothing wrong with eating protein at breafast....

Nothing wrong with not eating protein at breakfast....

Nothing wrong with not eating breakfast at all...

Its the macro count at the end of the day thats important...

Cheers

I was going to try this using unflavoured WPC from BN... To see how it turned out.... Might try some oats tomorrow with my current Vanilla WPC...

you need a minimum of 30g of protein for breakfast or you're muscles will fall off. This must be eaten within 29mins35seconds of waking.

notsrs

agree with nazzysmith

I don't know why you guys are screaming bro-science when I eat high protein for breakfast I am markedly fuller for longer and def seem to have more energy over the course of the morning and less urge to binge. I think a high proteing breakfast is a great idea.

Your probably right in the scheme of things it may not matter as long as the days quota is met but it works for me.

Also I agree with Wingman it is criminal not to eat eggs.

that is correct, I also eat my eggs for breakfast. if I don't I get hungry. totally personal preference.

I still believe your body would use some energy to digest/process your food, so in a way, your metabolism would increase slightly. but that's not to say if you eat more food later in the day, it would just even out anyway.

always have protein in my breakfast....either proats or eggs or something...definitely keeps me fuller for longer without feeling bloated either.

but then, like everyone else, protein at every meal so ....

25g of protein on the oats for breakfast does me fine. Anymore than that before 12 noon and my rear end is off like a church Organ!!??

+1 for the gaseous buildups... christ

k_21, if you are tired of farting, switch from WPC or the overpriced WPC + WPI blends and get yourself some 100% WPI stuff. I'm using no bull wpi and I'm getting no farts, maybe once a day and it's 50% it's going to be deadly. You are most likely lactose intolerant.

On WPC or something like ON Gold Standard I was farting non-stop.

Was going to suggest the same, I buy WPI from NoBull Supplements, and have no farting issues at all.

What type (WPC, WPI, Blend etc) protein and what brand are you using that is causing you the farting issues?? I am willing to bet its a overpriced commercial blend full of cheap arsed proteins and fillers.
