    WPI vs WPC (taste-wise)

1.5 grams pro per kilogram bodyweight? Without even trying. Plenty of whole foods out there to do that. Either way, I go to the gym to get stronger. Nothing else. I've never found an increase - or decrease - in carbs/protein/fat having any bearing on what I lift. Of course if you own a...

the what u saw at the gym TODAY thread

What I saw......er......yesterday. Sorry. Went through my whole 'Light Day' workout - Squats, Good Mornings, Presses and straight-arm pullovers(<old school I know), and same guys sitting down doing arms at the start were still doing same exercise at end. 45 mins I guess for me to do all that...

    Does Olympic weightlifting build strength?

No. It states that Starr and everybody else were doing the Olympic lifts in training. Front squats over back. And the reason for the Presses? They were an Olympic lift back then. So not only didn't you do you're homework, but you never read it correctly either.

    Does Olympic weightlifting build strength?

From the Bill Starr article 'Program Design': Any time I've seen Starr mention the Olympic lifts, it was always using sets of triples or doubles with the occasional single in there. Here is an article where he mentions his earlier routine when he was starting out I guess being trained by Sid...

Sure about that? Especially his Oly routine?

    Does Olympic weightlifting build strength?

Like I said earlier, Bill Starr had a pretty good deadlift yet never trained it and got a national record when he entered a powerlifting meet for something different despite being at the time an olympic lifter. Perhaps its the other way round for these Oly lifters then you think?
