Good morning squat = weak quads

I said that all along lol.
Hence my love of front squats. :p
Yet many a person told me it was my hammies (the most developed part of my upper leg..

I'm pleasantly surprised by how many people here are agreeing with Mr Nuckols on this one. Over at bb.com, the idea that you might shift into a GM position because that's where you're strongest, thus you need to work on your quads, is treated as sacrilege. I remember when I first became aware of myself doing squatmornings way back in 2010, I was going from hips below knees to hips nearly 1 foot above knees without the bar moving north at all, and then once in that position I could drive the bar up nicely. People seem to think that because the knees are extending and the hips aren't when you move into a squatmorning, it must be your quads overpowering your hips. But your quads aren't moving the weight when this happens, they're just moving your body into a position where your hips can efficiently take over.
