Gpc world championships 2012

Well done Scott and any other Aussie lifters that competed from here.
Such massive lifts from those blokes, what the hell are they feeding them over there?
Would have been a great experience to spend time and talk shit with such strong fuckers, lucky fella Scott.

Big congratulations to all of the Aus lifters.

So cool to see us doing awesome on the world stage.

Proud to be a powerlifter!!!

Gerry is opening on 390 today...... He is very passionate, I loved having a talk with him last night.

You must place in the top 2 of your division at nationals to get an invite to worlds.
If the top lifter can't make it, then 2nd and 3rd get the invite.

I'm having a ball over here.

Spent plenty of time talking to a Finnish guy called sakari.

He is the Finnish coach.... So obviously has a lot to do with Jonas ect.
Great mates with sheiko, malanichev, Louie, and a ton of other Well respected lifters/coaches.

Got some awesome tips on deadlift programming.

Finnish lifters are known for their massive deads, and sakari trains the all, so I'm sure its time well spent.

He also gave me a set of wraps. They are like nothing I've seen before.
The only think I can think of close to them are strangs.

I wanna go next year, Katie Foster wants to go and I think Heather might if her arm is twisted enough. I think worlds team will get bigger every year :)

Only 2 Americans I can recall.

Im sure one of them was born in 1932, weighed 50-60kg and pulled 177.5kg.

Gerry McNamara was just spewing up in the warm up room.... Unfortunately didn't make it to the platform :(.

Looking forward to the Finnish lifters tomorrow.

Soooo many women in the stadium. Maybe 100 men 150-200 women.
It's crazy. They make so much noise, and are very good looking :)

Packed.
300-400 at any time today.

Smaller for the raw guys
200-300

I expect well over 500 tomerow being Saturday and the supe heavys.

Remember, this is the middle of the day on a work day.... The crowed isn't going to be as big as it would be if held on the weekend.

Awesome.

Any chance of sharing some deadlift tips at some stage.

At some stage.

I took a heap of notes, he is a very awesome guy.

He just squatted 350kg at 82. He would be 55-60yo too.

I'm going to see if I can go out to dinner with him tonight/tomorrow.

I just don't want to turn into "the annoying Aussie" lol.

Just trying to milk as much as I can from this opportunity.

I want to do the same with Jonas with bench, but he is very hard to find alone.

Tish has taken off with Bec to Poland lol.

Ricky and I are watching the equipped powerlifting.

It's going great ;)
