Hey man,
Ive recent purchased my own gear, and checked out a few of the racks in person.
For the price you're looking to spend, based on what i've seen I'd recommend the Cyberfit light commercial power rack at $495. It's solid, steady and well priced. I checked out the MMPR, the commercial MMPR, the Powertek and the cyberfit rack. The cyber tek is the best value for money/quality. The MMPR didn't seem as stable as the others, although the chinup bar is a nice feature. The Powertek takes up less space (the main reason i purchased it) and comes with a dip attachment. If space wasn't an issue i'd go with the cybertek, and if money/space wasn't an issue i'd roll with the muscle motion commercial.
Due to space issues I ended up getting the Powertek rack, though i'd say the cyberfit rack ($495) and muscle motion commercial rack ($1250) are the best buys on the market in Aus from what i've had access to. Although the Force USA may be just as decent, I didn't have the luxury to see one in person to be able to comment on it.
Cyberfit rack $495
Power Rack Light Commercial | Prackrails | Cyberfit Gym Equipment
Olympic 100kg weight set $325 (cyber market).
Probably cheaper to get a Olympic weight set through gym direct. I think they have a 137.5kg for $355 (+10% Ausbb discount) if memory serves me correct.
If you had a bit more coin, through Cyberfit they have a 180kg package for $455, which works out to be something like $2/kg taking the price of the bar into consideration. $2/kg for rubber oly weights is the cheapest i've seen. For some reasons the packages on cyberfit arn't all that price, and the package deals vary greatly is 'value'. That 180kg package however is wicked value.
