I have been diagnosed with a partial tendon tear in my right shoulder plus bursitis. It manifests as a general weakness in the shoulder when doing bench presses, flies, etc. Does anyone have experience of going down the surgical route. I’m interested in knowing if the repair is 100% and if full strength returns. Also experiences with rehab after surgery would be appreciated plus any other observations.

Don’t bench or fly.

I had a fucked shoulder for 3 years. Couldn’t bench at all.
All I did was dips which caused no pain and it healed very well.
I didn’t get a proper diagnosis.

Thanks, I might go down this route. I can still bench press narrow grip and dips are OK.
