I received my Texas powerbar from Underground Elite last week.
After a week of using it, I would highly recommend it over any other bar in it's price range (I have also used an ABC powerbar). The quality is exceptional and the knurling is the best I've used.
I can't recommend it enough. I love it.

So uh, sent back the MM barbell that Hunter Express partially destroyed in transit, 15 business days ago. Still no refund from gym direct, presumably because they have yet to receive the barbell...

Even a Picard facepalm won't do justice.

In other news, I have a black nitride ABC bar on the way, which I will pick up in person, and not hand over cash if it's anything less than perfect.

A little teaser. Yes, the pics were taken with a shoe, but for now they will suffice.

GymCare were amazing to deal with. Hassle free service, great bunch of guys (very knowledgeable), and can't complain about the price for the quality of the product.

Mate that is sweet, is it custom knurl? or standard?

They look bloody nice those bars, how much did it end up costing mate?

Sorry to bump an old thread guys, but I just read through 41 pages and had to sign up to see how every ones ABC bop20 power bar is holding up and also the texas power bar from UGE? I am after a new bb and im deciding its between these 2 after reading the entire thread i seen the pic of the abc bar just above and it looks the goods with great reviews i got a quote of $563 delivered however i could pick the texas bar up from UGE as i noticed there down the road from me for the advertised $600 so im not sure which way to go....

I have 2 Texas Power bars at my gym. They've seen some damn heavy lifts and are still going strong, straight as and still spinning freely.

Some of you people actually pay $600 for a bar?!

You get what you pay for. My old training partner and I wrecked our first bar pretty well in less than a year. It cost $150.

My Texas bars have seen far more poundage and aside from scratches are still good as new.

I can understand paying top dollar for a gym where it would get a lot more use by different people but for home use?

Our first bar was only used by me and Paz at the rack we had in his garage. As I said, we wrecked it. 600 is hardly top dollar either, its a lot cheaper than a top quality eleiko bar.

I know lots of lifters who train at home and see the obvious benefit of a good quality bar. You can bend the shit bars within 6 months sometimes, you won't bend a good bar for year unless you really abuse it. The collars will keep on spinning well too rather than seizing up like the heap of shit chinese bars. Once you've had a bent bar roll on your back during a heavy squat or in your hands during a heavy bench you'll understand what a waste of money they are in the long term.

Use a good bar then use a cheap one and you can see the difference straight away.

I have 2 $600+ bars for my home gym because I am too lazy to keep taking the bar out of the power rack to use it for deadlifts. Plus I can warm up for deads while doing other stuff in the rack.

Tbh, as much as I support UGE, Iove my abc bars.

You can custom knurl them, and they are Australian made and owned.

I've spend 70-800 on bars, my next bar will be a Finnish squat bar or an Eleiko (purchased outside of aus).

Never used ABC bars but I know I would not want any knurling less than the what the Texas power bar has.
