Clean eating myth

That makes sense imo, you can eat pretty much whatever you like as long as you get your macro, micro, and calorific requirements.

For some reason i had somehow 'liked' ASN mackay's facebook page.. then they put up a photo of a few normal carrots next to a few deformed ones and had a caption saying the deformed carrots were 'organic'... i fkn ripped hard into them, the knobs still have it up though

Me too. Ends up with me trolling them a fair bit :p

Made the mistake of reading most of the comments. Some people's stupidity and refusal to be educated infuriates me

So this article is basically saying I can get some deep fried battered fish and a can of coke that closely resembles the macronutrient breakdown of my lunch, and get the same results.

No wonder the general population consists of weak fat fucks.

As far as general body composition goes, do you know of any evidence as to why this wouldn't be the case?

In a word...YES. If the macros are the same it will make NO difference to body composition.

Ok, hypothetically lets say there was no statistical difference in body composition of consumption of either meal being as they had similar macronutrient breakdown.

Consumption of the battered fish and coke would leave me personally
- less satiated/full, possibly seeking further nourishment
- most likely crashing from the sugar content afterwards
- feeling like a three chinned grease fat fuck from the deep fried fish
- more out of pocket economically

Spot on bro, Training hard in general makes you want to eat quality food

The missus brought me lunch yesterday after traning as she had the day off, With my request for chicken, green beans and potatoes the lovely soul decided to get me a small frozen fanta from maccers on the way

Just the though of drinking that sugar water made me ill, Could i of ditched the spuds and had the frozen drink instead? Yes.... but i didnet dam want it.

The point of the article is that any food can be good or bad, depending on a person's overall diet and in the context of their life. Any food can make you put on weight if you eat too much of it.

If you ate the battered fish and drank the coke in the context of a daily diet which also included lean meat, vegies, fruit, water etc and you met your daily macros while coming in under your calorie goal, then you are looking at a pretty healthy diet.

If you ate too much of the fish and rice you had for lunch today, and didnt hit your required macros then you are looking at an unhealthy diet. Does that then make your fish and rice "unclean"?

here here, read less, train hard and live life :)

yerp, i'm over reading articles.

Just do whatever you want.

eat protein and train.

Agree to that point.

Sick of articles about diet or training these days. It's not what I enjoy at all.

I just like going in and lifting and not thinking about anything else.
