Hotel gym this morning again.
Lunges 5x10
Leg raises 5x10
Side raises 5x10
DB curls seated x 10 s/s standing DB curl x 10. X 5

It's funny as I haven't taken any supplements with me, no protein powder the whole time, eating 'well' but not too strict and not much has changed (ie for the worse) physique wise. Makes me wonder how much the WPI etc affects the physique & training.

Home from Hong Kong this morning & can now officially announce (some on here already knew) we are having another baby. It's been a tough secret to keep!!

It took my wife a while to get her blood sugars right (type 1 diabetic) but she did and her diabetes doctor was like, "they won't get much better than that, so start trying". Poor blood sugars can cause birth defects, not affecting fertility though.

And 5 weeks later, she did the home test and we got the two red lines! Very exciting and our daughter is STOKED! Already suggesting names & how to decorate the nursery. Lol
Heading for a run soon now we are telling everyone outside immediate family so I don't have to answer the phone lol

Very happy to hear that taurus mate - I didn't realise just how far type 1 diabetes impacts upon your life.

judgey; cheers mate. She's had it since she was 13, so used to the hassle. 4 injections a day until last year when she got an insulin pump. It's pretty rough sometimes. 1 in 12 chance of the new bub getting it

Congratulations mate, great news indeed.

I know quite well the struggle that diabetics go through during pregnancy - staying on top of blood sugar levels can be like a full time job.

All the best to the family for the remainder of the term.

Not my Mrs, a close friend of mine and her fiance who i've known since we were in primary school recently announced they were pregnant to friends and family.

I've known for a few months before that. They have been to her endocrinologist and seen a nutritionist that specialises in diabetes etc to make sure everything is as good as it can possibly be in an effort to minimise risk of complications throughout.

Lived with them both for years and have seen what she had to go through on a day to day basis - all the injections, having to have a sugar hit immediately etc. Not a nice thing to have to live with.

Yeh, its not, but it is manageable..
Our first doesn't have diabetes, but my wife is still stressing that this one will. The way I see it, if it does, then it has the best mum to help out dealing with it!!
My wife didnt have that support at home when she was diagnosed (aged 13) and her parents are still naive & a little ignorant of it.

Thats the way to look at it mate - got to see the glass as half full..

Thats really disappointing to hear about your wife's parents.. Its can be difficult enough to manage on your own WITH a good support network, let alone without any support :( and as a 13 year old girl.

Clovelly beach this morning for a run/swim/run session

Jump in on one side of clovelly bay, swim across then run up to the road, back around the beach to where we first jumped in and do it all again. 6-7 of those. Swimming in shoes is tough! Lol
