Lets get srs in 2015

I don't understand why CT, or anyone, gets slammed for offering a response to a diet proposal.

The opening post does not have a limit on calories, it says eat what you want as well as a gallon of milk and kg of steak.

I also cannot see the point of such an approach.

CT goes over the top with what he thinks will happen. Sure it's likely to have a small amount of muscle growth and a far bit of fat gain but it's only for a month. It's not like he is going to end up with diabetes and other health issues after a month food fest.

yes, a month ok, but one should still have a rough idea how much calories going into body. That is where I would challenge opening post.

Say one eats average 5000 and only burns average 3500, we all know that a lot of fat will be accumulated over a month.

It just seems like a month thrown away towards a poorly thought out diet plan. Where that month could be used to actually make progress by using a little bit of intelligence and planning.

Ruggers will still have an idea of how much he's consuming.
It's pretty much just a month of dirty bulking, doesn't say to not count cals, just to not be overly concerned with what you're eating. Yes, you're going to put on fat, that's just the nature of the bulking beast. But you're not going to end up with huge health issues like C_T is playing it out.

I don't see a huge issue with going 1000-1500 (or more) cals over maintenance, especially for someone like Rugby88 who probably does it on a regular basis lol

What if he started a complete opposite to this thread and wanted to do as many detoxing methods as possible and get by on 1000 cals. Would there be as much drama about it?

yes, I am sure rugby knows what he is doing; just thought opening post could have spelt out calories risk better for others.

It says you can 'cheat' as much as you want so that's left up to your discretion, everything else to be consumed isn't even particularly dirty imo. I don't see anything wrong with it (aside from milk shits). And if you weigh 40 kgs less than the OP, yeah, it's gonna be more cals than you need.

Think most people are forgetting he is a big boy

Def. this.

Would've thought that part was obvious.

Dude is a unit and trains like man possessed.

The fact he plays a season of rugby and maintains an intense training regime outside of that tells me he might actually benefit from such a 'diet'.

NO way in hell I'd contemplate such a diet as that

(@Rugby88 ;... still chasing those 20" arms bro)

cheers mate! Already at 21" haha

I think some of you guys are WAY overthinking this - diet and trainng are simple and if you have any idea, self control, common sense and understanding of calories you will know that you wil not run into any issues.....

I am on my phone so won't bother to go into details.

Son of a bitch!

sorry again, but im not going over the top.

i've worked in a hospital for the last 15yrs treating the public, the one thing i know for SURE is how the human body copes with extra weight.

lets just say very very poorly. im not saying this because im jealous, or i want rugby to fail, no! i want him to succeed in his goals.

CT you are overreacting. Take a chill pill. He is doing it for a month, relax. Nothing is going to happen in a month of high calories and even less so with someone that is highly active.

How much weight do you think he'll put on in 30 days?

Last time I had a massive blowout calorie wise was because of an injury. Had a bit of a sulk, stopped doing most training and ate like a fat mess.

Ice cream for breakfasts, 6 toasted cheese sandwiches for lunch pizza or fish and chips for tea. Probably averaging 6-7000 calories a day pretty easily.

Took a couple months to even gain anything at all. After 5 months of eating like shit had gained 14kg. Most was bloat. Lost the first 10kg in a couple weeks of normal diet.

Are you a specialist at the hospital CT?

You need to apply some common sense to the matter aswell - the foods/plan I listed would prob be what around 5000 calories - for me personally the foods I listed i.e Milk, steak, post workout shake, some salad and veg would be enough - I know I don't really need to go over 5000 calories every single day....but yes if I ate that food and for whatever reason I felt like a cheat I would have it, or instead of veggies with my steak I had some pasta etc etc - you NEED to apply common sense....

No I am not going to eat all that and then have a pizza and some maccas on top of it....

The only thing you would struggle with in that diet is the milk - being consistent with it everyday.....other than that the rest would be a breeze....I just had a 500g steak for dinner....and I am cutting....

30 days of doing this will have no long term health affects, yes you will put on weight but that is the goal, yes train hard, do abit of cardio etc etc....

I am struggling to see what the issue is.....

If I said I was going to eat 10,000 calories a day for 6 months then yea maybe....

If you are having a gallon of milk (is that 3.6 litres?) I imagine it would be hard to also get your water in? would hydration be a issue? Or does milk have a certain % that is water?
