How the feck would you know Mick since you don't use dumbells and don't own any micro plates either, so you've never tried it.
So 0kg should work fine then.
You write some absurd things Big Mick;
Just because I don't use them does not mean I have never used them, but after using them for years I have come to the conclusion that DB's are the 1% of weight lifting and pretty much unless you are at elite level and in the top percentage of body building training hours twice a day doing specialised isolation stuff to grow peaks on your biceps and aiming for head separation of your triceps, Db's are more or less a waste of daylight.
Time playing with Db's and micro plates can be better spend lifting heavy barbells for better results in less time.
DB side laterals are not going to do anything to the casual trainer (like most of us in this forum) that a few sets of heavy military presses have not already done, you just need to stimulate the muscle to grow not stuff around with it endlessly.
Really at this stage in my training I can not think of anything I can achieve with a DB that I am not already achieving with a barbell.
And yes that is MY opinion based on My experiences over the last 30 years of playing with weights
Seriously Mick, have you had your eyes closed the whole 30 years
You write some pretty silly stuff
How so??
You are also on the list of people I doubt actually lift, as generally you don't have anything useful to add to any discussion relating to training and diet.
Again I am waiting with bated breath as to what gains I will get from micro plates that will make the time using them worth while after I smashed out my heavy military presses for the day.
You must the biggest buffed motherfucker here then Mick
I'm happy to be on your list
So you got nothing?? Just as I suspected! Just hiding behind insults to try and get away from the topic that you have no idea about
I am still waiting for the explanation from your self and Silverback as to what gains I am missing out on?? But I guess I won't be getting it as you got nothing
Who said you were missing out on gains Mick?
I gave my explaination earlier in the thread but hey you must be doing something right @ 30% body fat
Just checked again and you have explained nothing that refutes anything I have said and makes anything I have sad incorrect or false in any way. Then you post that I write some silly stuff without being able to offer an explanation as to why it's silly. When asked to classify tour statement you resort to insults, cheap shots and evasive techniques instead of providing an explanation.
Even after asking you directly several more times to explain your statement you resorted to further insults each and every time in an attempt to distract from the question that you are obviously not able to give an answer to, and third time around you have not disappointed as you still have nothing, apart from insults based on your imagination I guess.
As I have no idea where you would have my body fat % from as I don't even know it. but I am guessing it's just another attempt in your ploy to distract from the real training related question that you obviously lack the experience and knowledge to answer.
So may be next time instead of attempting to insult people and say their statement is silly without knowing what you are talking about and in the process exposing your lack of knowledge may be say nothing.
http://ausbb.com/official-2013-body...21636-big-micks-2013-body-transformation.htmlTHE STARTING POINT :
WEIGHT 117kg
BODY FAT 31.7%
HYDRATION 49.5%
MUSCLE MASS 30.8%
BONE DENSITY 3.0%
Going up 2.5kg per dumbbell is 5kg overall. I would be very surprised if you only drop one rep. Especially for smaller upper body exercise that dumbbells are used for.
Nutrient timing. Lol. Maybe if you are an elite athlete doing multiple training sessions a day but for the average shit kicker doing at most one session a day and then sitting on your arse you are just playing with yourself.
The 0.25 micros where handy at the Push / Pull today. hmmm
The body fat % were your own words in your training log

It's not about who's right or wrong Mick, it's simply another tool in the box whereas your saying there's only one tool that works.
Each to their own. I use them, lots of people do, some obviously don't.
It shouldn't stop anyone from lifting, that's the main thing.
I love my 0.5'sPeople are really passionate about their 1kg plates huh
