As there was a little bit of interest in a tipping comp for 2012 here it is. Not doing anything flash just basics.

Format:
Will be tipping the 5 main card fights only. Pick a winner in each bout and pick a winner + method of victory for the main event only. Tips must be in at least 1 hour before the start of an event.

Scoring:
1 Point for a correct answer.
2 Points for correct answer + way of victory in the main event.

You should have to pick the outcome of the main event (knockout, submission, points) for a bonus point. That would be pretty fun!

Nice work Goo. I like the idea of tipping the main card, it's what I had in mind as well. I dislike the idea of tipping method of victory in the main event. Too much grey area. How did Anderson Silva stop Belfort? Front kick most would say, but he got a few punches in before the ref stopped it IIRC.

Also, what happens if fighters pullout, and they re-arrange it with another guy on the card? Shouldn't be too much of a problem, I just wouldn't be tipping too early though.

You don't have to predict "stoppage by left handed spinning back fist". Just t/ko, sub or decision.

I thought that after i put my tips in, l should have waited till the weigh ins incase someone comes in looking like shit but meh, cant win em all and at least Rumble should make weight at middleweight.

Correct,

That would be a submission but it rarely happens. Forrest has done it twice and l can't remember many others... Oh and Shogun vs Jones but the Ref stopped it anyway.

Also outside of the UFC it is a lot more common. I've seen it a lot in pride, strike force etc
