Thinking about making my own power rack, been investigating quite a bit and i love the multi grip bars that a lot of racks have...

Where can i get one of these from, presuming they are steel...

P.S im only new so i cant PM yet

Thx guys

Contact gymdirect. They usually sell them with a rack but they might be able to get you one in individually. Message the_hulk (adrian) and see.

I reckon you're better with one of their racks anyway. By the time you factor in steel and the time you spend on labour you're going over $500 anyway.

Thx for the input guys, and hulk i post on that board...

In terms of labour, Im making it myself so therefore im saving money...
I make Aluminum Scaffold so the transition to Steel shouldn't be to hard!

Ill be designing off the EFS 3x3 Power Rack

As for the steel, i dont think it will be that expensive, Cash sales.

Not sure how much per metre the steel will be

reckon when you're done you could send me the plans you used?

What do you like about your power rack? What would you like to see incorperated into your power rack?

48" of space, its size (not too big, not too small), its weight, the pull up bar and the fact its damn attractive.

What I don't like - the J hooks (I wish they were shallower and more sturdy) and the 3" gap between the safety rails - I'd prefer 1 1/2" where I bench and 2" throughout after that with a rod pin system like the elite racks.
