Hey guys

I've been out of lifting due to laziness / 3 young kids / shiftwork for a few years but have just left my job and wanting to spend some time getting back into lifting. Anyone know anywhere decent in Adelaide for a bit of coaching ? I'm basically looking for a check on my squats, deads, bench and to learn how to do power cleans. I found the olympic gym in Edwardstown but lol at paying for a yearly membership when I just need a few pointers.

Appreciate any help you can give.

You need to break down the lift into its bits; stages, or phases if you like. It wouldn't hurt to watch some ultra slow motion weightlifting clips off of YouTube for starters. But in a nutshell, if you break down the whole power clean into separate segments, then bring all those segments together into the one lift..., you'd find yourself on the right track with one full and complete lift before you know it.

Example 1: Body positioning over the bar (as that's where you'd be taking off from). Then of course you'd need to invest in that good old broomstick for repetitiveness sake once you get into the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pull of the lift, culminating in a very powerful hip thrust that turns into one hell of traps to ear shrug...just few words/ideas for you without really getting into it right now.
