Take Bx26 bus east to the Garden's Mosholu Gate entrance, or walk eight blocks down the hill on Bedford Park Blvd. (approximately 20 minutes). Turn left onto Southern Blvd. and walk one block to Mosholu Gate entrance.

Bronx zoo
Pelham Parkway (Line 2, 5) is the subway stop nearest a Zoo entrance that has elevators, that's why the zoo lists it as the best ADA Accessible way to get to the Zoo. Other subway stations (like West Farms Square/East Tremont Ave) are close to other entrances.
Pelham Bay Park
Line 6 train to Pelham Bay Park station (last station) emerge at the Bruckner Boulevard and Westchester Avenue intersection. Enter the southwest portion of the park there, or pick up one of a number of buses at the station that head in: the Bx29 runs north on Shore Road and then east on City Island Road, stopping twice in the park's confines; the Bx5 and Bx12 serve the golf courses and Orchard Beach; and Westchester's Bee-Line 45 bus will let you off in front of Bartow-Pell Mansion.

The museum is open every day except Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It stays open until 8 p.m. on Fridays, and every Thursday in July and August until 8:45 p.m. To avoid the sticker shock, you can enter for free on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
New York Public Library
Take the B, D, F or M subway train to the 42nd Street-Bryant Park stop or 7 train to the Fifth Avenue station. Main branch open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 8 p.m. On Sundays, visitors are welcome from 1 to 5 p.m.

A or C train to the High Street stop in Brooklyn and stroll along the bridge back to Manhattan. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from one side to the other

Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island
Purchase a ticket and catch the ferry at the Liberty State Park in Jersey City, N.J. You can still view the monument from Battery Park or the High Line. Statue Cruises official.

If you are looking for a place to see the city skyline, try the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. The "deck" includes three floors, located on 67th, 69th, and 70th floors. There are both indoor and outdoor viewing spaces, which are open to the public day and night
