The GPC Triple Crown!

It’s time to be paid for being strong!

The Triple Crown is an incentive we just announced at the 2018 AGM.

At GPC Australia, we have put up at $10,000 prize pool to incentivize and reward our biggest lifters.

It’s a simple concept, but not simple to win.

To win the triple crown reward, you must

- Win your weight class at a local meet.
- Win your weight class at your state championships (or the closest to your residence, approved by Scott or Markos).
- Win your weight class at Nationals.
- There must be 3+ competitors in your class at each meet.

If only 1 person manages to pull it off, they get the full $10000.
If 2 people win it, they get $5000 each.
If 4 people win it, they get $2500 each.

We feel like this is a great initiative, and only a snippet of what we are going to try and achieve for this sport!

Good call. Nothing like a bit of cash to get some interest into the sport. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

With the GPC Triple Crown in play from today, I have worked to bring as many opportunities to the state as possible.


I still have at least 2 comps to add to this list, in towns where we haven’t held comps before, but more on that later in the year.


These are the current 3 lift comps you can do to qualify for nationals, and your chance at the Triple Crown!


July - Battle in Valhalla - Brisbane


August - Sunshine Coast Open - Nambour


September - Northern Spring Classic - Townsville
September - Mackay Cup - Mackay
September - GPC Showdown - Brisbane


December - 3-lift Nationals Qualifier - Nambour


January - 3-lift Qualifier - Gold Coast


February (?) - 3-lift Qualifier - Townsville


March - 3-lift Qualifier - Mackay
March - GPC States - Brisbane


That’s at least 10 GPC sanctioned 3-lift comps that QLDers can choose to do, in an attempt to qualify for nationals, or have a crack at the $10,000 Triple Crown.
