CCM Quest 2013

Keep at it CCM, one thing perhaps to consider if your struggling with apeitite is to eat more calorie dense foods, so your not eating as often or the quantities, but when you do you are still getting your cals for the day? this may include increase some healthy fats to hit those cals?

Thanks, yep been doing this. But I find I end up needing to drink my kcals cos I just can't eat.

Drank 1/2 litre choc almond milk last night before bed!

Hungry today so the signs of being over "it", whatever "it" is, are promising :)

Perhaps we should trade, your intermittent lack of appetite for my never-ending desire to eat All the Bacon.

PS: Your Mexican protein brownies look awesome :p Why the pea protein over just whey?

mmmmm ALL THE BACON ... appetite is BACK :D

actually it is, so far today, I'm back on track!

re the brownies, you don't need to use pea (i just did cos that was handy and I wanted a dairy free option as i have a lot of readers who are lactose intolerant).
Normally, i would use casein. Casein is great for brownies. Don't use whey as it dries everything out too much and this recipe doesn't have anything extra to make up for that (think rubber tyres :p )

So use casein when I write pea protein or rice protein :)

Hmmm

Weighed in at 46.7kg again today. Fluctuating up and down by 500g or so every few days but I know what is causing that (not water retention).

But wanna be startin' somethin' in the lead up to Xmas or my birthday, whichever, not fussed (only one month apart).

So have started a more regimented reverse dieting thing as of today and will be weighing in every morning (egads usually only weigh in every few weeks lol) as well as tracking and upping macros.

Got some fab helpful tools to appease my nerdy insides :)

On a serious mission for a few months.

Training-wise, all going well.
Hip/TFL niggles are being ironed out and hopefully will be back squatting in a few weeks. Much improved over the last week or two. Only have achy niggles in my right thigh.
Dry needling is damned painful but is working along with physio and some massage.

Blah! Keep doing what you're doing! You are a strong healthy woman! Forget dem scales!

The scales mean nothing to me, Kaz.

I just wanna get some FFM, and being the world's worst bulker ever, I'm determined to make the next few months count!

Finally hit my macros today YAY!! Sure I had to drink some of them but woohoo, didn't struggle to eat for the first time in 3 weeks.

Need to go to bed but not before i post gratuitous pics of protein bar porn ... i need a chef's uniform cos in my jammies with an apron just ain't professional, ya know? :p

Checking in ...

morning weight 45.9kg :(

may I recommend major stressing as a great weight loss tool ....

Yup, stress is a killer

Appetite etc... effected etc.. and can go either way too sometimes, depending upon the person.

How's the old man?

You still able to get to the gym?

bacon brownies ?

I'm nicely destressed today , after yesterdays high intensity film session (advertising)

Yeah stress can do funny things to people, luckily for me i stress about very very little, but this also has its problems with being too relaxed about stuff.....

Thanks guys, nearly lost my dad last week but he's on the way to a full recovery. Will take some time but so long as he's going to be OK, I will be happy.

Been a horrible week.

It's a nice day to start over today.

I've lost around 1.5kg and wasn't eating enough (eating windows too small and I wasn't that hungry obviously).
No training since the Friday before last.

Last week was a scheduled recovery/deload week so I guess I took it to the extreme :(
Probably a HIIT week considering the tachycardia I had for most of it.

Anyways, worried about going to back to bench day today as I was still tired (lack of sleep last night) and didn't have much energy.

BUT, I got a PB for bench regardless! Made me feel confident I could do so much better once back at full steam :)

Bench 40kg x 5, 4, 3 @ 45.7kg

Didn't feel half as hard as it used to. Not much for anyone else on this forum but huge for me with my stupid long levers and world's suckiest bench.

My last 1RM was 41kg so much improvement since then.

Also, leg/hip feeling heaps better after a lot of painful dry needling. More of that to come this week but it's working :)
Hopefully will get the OK to squat soon.

have moved down to 5 rep sets from this week.

Over and out.

Great to hear your dad is doing much better and looking like pulling through, and it seems that week away from gym has done you wonders, Congrats on the pb, now imagine what you can lift when you're fully fed and not stressed, you should be ble to hit the 50kg no problems then............

It sucks, them getting older. Sorry to hear you going through that

It does that, doesn't it? Just happy he's going to be OK...what that means, I'm still not sure though.

thanks Neddy ... well, it was a recovery week but I seem to have taken it all too literally
Doubt I could manage 50kg but I think that BW bench is on the cards at last.
If I'm a fail at that, then I'm just calling the good people at Guiness who officiate at all the world record stuff and get them to officially confirm me as having the World's Suckiest Bench.
Maybe I can get a trophy or sash or a certificate or something :D
Bench is hard :(
