I mean, bumpers are just open to more change, meaning I can cross over into many different types of lifts (for general well being) because they can be dropped.

Sure you cant fit as many on the bar... but if you dont plan to exceed 250kg (because ur not into it for competition) then may as well have the versatility of being able to do a little of everything, some cleans, some jerks, body building, powerlifting, bit of everything just to develop over-all rather than in one area.

Unless you are planning on cleaning over 140 you'll be able to lower it yourself.

I have bumpers and they are not worth it and they don't last forever either.
